I made it to Midland.
I'm living with my wonderful boyfriend of over 2 years.
I'm settled. I'm stable.
I have 3 job offers in front of me [all of which have come in during the past 2 days]/
I know which one I am going to accept already, I'm just making them mildly sweat it out. 

I'm really feeling good and happy right now.

First and foremost, I'd like to thank everyone who helped me pay for my medical expenses. I am so grateful and I was moved to tears by the kindness and generosity I was shown. I really can not thank you all enough. 

I had my neurological exam and my EEG on the 4th of August. The exam showed that I had been misdiagnosed. My seizures are not absence seizures; they're actually simple-partial seizures. I'm going to do a trial run of a new medication, since depakote is just not for me. 

These meds are about $140 a month out of pocket. Even with Medicaid. Ugh. Why are medications so fucking expensive?! On the plus side, I won't have to go in for regular blood work or for liver enzyme tests. That makes me feel much better. 

We're thinking that a major trigger for my seizures [aside from certain sounds] is stress. Problem is: I'm in the middle of a massive capstone project, I'm trying to find a way to pay for my medications every month, and I'm about to move 500 miles across the state to a city I've never lived in before and have only ever visited twice to start working in an extremely high stress industry [that I absolutely love, but still....]

Any advice on handling stress? I'm currently mostly sober, so those methods are completely out. I'm trying to cut back on my drinking as well, so that is also out.

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

As many of you know, I haven't been shooting much as of late. There are a few reasons for this. One is that school pretty much dominates my life. The other is health related.

I have epilepsy. I had no problems paying my medical bills when I was on the road. Now that I am home and in school, I do not have the income I need to pay these bills. Without that income, I can't get the medical care I need.

Currently, I need $180 for an exam and $485 for an EEG.
